Technovation, the Annual Fest of Shroff S R Rotary Institute of Chemical Technology
started in 2013 under the banner of Sustainable Technology Mission, aims to promote
technology, scientific thinking and innovation among the students. This time SRICT
celebrated its Seventh National Level Technical Symposium on 26th & 27th September
2019.
Technovation 2019
This year the participation was made open for other college students from Gujarat.
Totally 1703 students participated in around 20 events like Circuit Carnival, Robo
Race, Chemical Reaction Contraption Context, Chem-O-Live, Chem-O-Clave, Amazing
Race, May I Know Your Solution, En - Fluenzo, Junkyard, Fun Zone, Technical Workshops
and lot more.
The 7th National level Technical Symposium was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Mr.
Arun Joshi, Chairman & Managing Director, Surya Life Science Ltd., Ankleshwar in
a very distinctive Mechanism. The theme for the technical event is ‘Green Technology’
and the dignitaries are welcomed by “Jade Plants & Money Plants”. Technovation strikes
the right chord in a magnitude so large that it astounds and amazes everybody.
Dr. Snehal Lokhandwala, Principal, SRICT delivered the welcome speech during inaugural
session. Mrs. Jalpa Thakkar, HOD, Electrical Engineering briefed about the Technovation
2019. The Souvenir 5th edition of “TECHNOPHILE” was unveiled on the inaugural session.
Mr. B D Dalwadi, Trustee, CEO of BEIL & ETL conveyed his best wishes for the Event.
Mr. Arun Joshi addressed the gathering emphasizing the need of our theme ‘Green
Technology’ and he also declared Technovation 2019 officially opened. Dr P N Parmeshwaran,
Trustee and Rtn Anita Kothari, President, Rotary Club Ankleshwar were also graced
the occasion.Mr. Sourav Choubey, Coordinator of Technovation 2019, proposed the
Vote of Thanks for the inaugural event.
Events were celebrated with great enthusiasm for the entire two days. Chief Guest
of valedictory function is Mr. Kamlesh Sukhwani, Plant Manager, Evonik Speciality
Silica India Pvt. Ltd., Jhagadia. Dr. Omprakash Mahadwad, Professor & HOD of Chemical
Technology, addressed during valedictory session. Chief Guest of valedictory function
Mr. Kamlesh Sukhwani appreciated the students & faculty efforts in the success of
this event. He addressed the students to proceed in right direction to achieve success.
During valedictory function, winners were given cash prizes worth Rs. 43,250 and
certificates. Mr. Sourav Choubey, Coordinator, Technovation 2019 presented the details
about participation of students in events organized under Technovation 2019. Mrs.
Jalpa Thakkar, HOD, Electrical Engineering proposed vote of thanks.
This National Level Technical Event was coordinated by the Department of Electrical
Engineering with the full support of ARES Management. Overall it proved to be a
good platform for students to interact, share and exchange innovative and technical
ideas.
