Two days’ Hands-On Workshop On “Electrical Machines”

The Department of Electrical Engineering-SRICT of UPL University has organized a Two-day hands-on workshop on Electrical Machines for Diploma Engineering students from Govt. Polytechnic Rajpipla. A total of 24 students and one faculty member have participated in the workshop. The session covered both theoretical concepts and practical exposure to Induction Motor, its operating parameter observation, its load test, Synchronous Generator Voltage Regulation, Load tests, its Synchronization with infinite bus, Synchronous motor operations and its parameter testing. Faculty members from the Department of Electrical Engineering conducted insightful sessions, ensuring an interactive and enriching learning experience to participants. Participants have greatly appreciated both the days of the workshop and eagerly looked forward for such workshops in the upcoming semesters.


Two days workshop on “BASICS of MATLAB for ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS”

Department of Electrical Engineering and Institute of Engineers India (IEI) jointly organized Two days workshop on “BASICS of MATLAB for ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS” on 10th and 12th February, 2025. Total 24 students have participated in this workshop. Session:1 “Application of Mathematics in MATLAB” was conducted by Mrs. Richa Dubey, Assistant Professor, DEE in which students solved mathematical problems in MATLAB using .m file. Session:2 “Application of Control System in MATLAB” was conducted by Dr. Sourav Choubey, Assistant Professor, DEE in which Students practiced the basics of control system related problems in MATLAB using .m file. Session:3 “Application of Power Electronics in MATLAB” was conducted by Mr. Hiren Jariwala, Assistant Professor, DEE in which Students learned about implementation of DC Chopper applications in MATLAB using simulation .slx file. A one day hands-on work shop on "Advance Power System Protection and Relaying"

Department of Electrical Engineering of SRICT-UPL University has organized one day hands-on work shop on Advance Power System Protection and Relaying. Total 83 students and four faculty members from Shree K. J. Polytechnic, Bharuch have participated in this workshop. Students have acquired the detailed knowledge of functionality of Electromagnetic relays and Numerical relays and also learnt different types of configuration parameters in the both types of relays in this workshop.

The Department of Electrical Engineering-SRICT of UPL University has organised a one day workshop on “Modern Power System Protection and Relaying” for Diploma Engineering students from Government Polytechnic, Rajpipla. The students were benefited with hands-on experiment sessions during the workshop. Students also got the detailed knowledge of functionality and different types of configuration parameters of electromagnetic relays and Numerical relays. Student participants were felicitated by certificates.


1-2-1 Meeting With BE Sem-6 EE Students

A one-to-one meeting of Department of Electrical Engineering Semester-VI students with the honourable president of our University, Mr. Ashok Panjwani was organized with the purpose to motivate students to improve their overall academic performance. Students were encouraged to participate in various activities, upgrade their skills and work hard for the upcoming University exam.


Urja Club Activity: Energy Audit Demo

Department of Electrical Engineering organized Energy Audit Demo on 01st March, 2024 under the banner of Urja Club, where students performed Energy Audit demo done in Industry in which Lokesh Choudhary & Team played roles of auditors, Industry head, Technical Manager and Energy Manager, explaining roles and responsibilities of Energy Audit. Apart from displaying methodology and rules of energy audit as per Energy Conservation Act 2001,students enjoyed the humorous part also by method acting done by Lokesh,Krish and team. The Overall activity was full of knowledge and humour.

1-2-1 meeting of Diploma Students of Sem-6 of Electrical Engineering was arranged with Mr. Ashok A. Panjawanisir, President of UPL University of Sustainable technology at Board Room admin to review students result and to give the commitments of sem-6 ESE exam. President has also discussed about the students future planning.


Switchover and Use of Renewable Energy Sources in Industries Sponsored by GEMI

Department of Electrical Engineering and Gujarat Environment Management Institute (GEMI) have jointly organized a training program under mission LiFE on “Switchover and Use of Renewable Energy Sources in Industries”. In this training program 75 students have participated who have taken the Pledge for “Lifestyle for the Environment” at the inauguration of program. First trainer Mr. Hetal Mehta, Managing Director, Happy Engineering, delivered a lecture on “Trend of Renewable Energy Sources and its Implementation in Industry”. He has also discussed about the future trend of hydrogen energy. Dr. Surendrasingh Kachhwala, Chair Professor, Suzlon, Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of technology, PDEU, have delivered the technical sessions on “Solar Thermal Engineering Applications in Industry”.
