We are delighted to invite you to a one-day refresher course on “Reaction Hazard Assessment and Management” organized by the Department of Chemical Engineering and Center of Excellence in Process Safety at UPL University of Sustainable Technology on 24th January 2025. This workshop will explore critical topics, including: • Reaction hazards and mitigation strategies • Chemical Compatibility and 2D vs 3D simulators • Advanced techniques like Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and Reaction Calorimetry The sessions will be delivered by four distinguished speakers, offering valuable insights tailored to industry professionals. One-day symposium on 'Downstream Processing: Separation & Purification of Biological Components Using Distillation

The Department of Chemical Engineering, UPL University of Sustainable Technology, organized a one-day symposium on 'Downstream Processing: Separation & Purification of Biological Components Using Distillation' on 30th November 2024. The event was dedicated to honoring the inspiring legacy of Padma Shri Dr. Keki Gharda. Over 100 participants from various industrial and academic organizations actively took part in the program. Prof. (Dr.) Shrikant J. Wagh inaugurated the symposium with a welcome address, setting the tone for insightful discussions. Shri B. D. Dalwadi emphasized the significance of the event by sharing real-world examples, while Shri Ashok A. Panjwani (President, UPL University) highlighted the inspirational achievements of Dr. Gharda. The Chief Guest, Shri Uttam Kumar Khatri (Gharda Chemicals), shared his experiences and commended the organizers for hosting such an engaging and relevant event. A poster presentation is organized by Chemical Engineering Department on 2/5/2024 as Project Review-III. All BE 8th Sem students actively participated in the presentation where they presented their knowledge of 3 months inplant training exposure to the reviewer panel.


One to one meeting

Final year chemical engineering students had a productive one-on-one session with Dr. Omprakash Mahadwad, Dean of Engineering & COE, alongside HOD Dr. Krunal Suthar and Program Coordinator Dr. Swapna Panda. They discussed their four-year journey in the BE program, future plans, job prospects, and project experiences. Each student shared valuable feedback, making it an uplifting session for everyone involved!!

Technical event

The 'ChemPore' (Extempore on Chemical Engineering), a technical event was organized today for diploma students in Chemical Engg under the banner of IQAC and IIChE Students Chapter. The theme of Extempore was principles of chemical engineering. The key objectives of this event were to acquire technical knowledge in chemical engg, overcome stage fear and enhance communication skills.


A six-month certification training program on *Chemical Plant Operator*

A six-month certification training program on *Chemical Plant Operator* commenced today. This program will host a batch of 30 working plant operator professionals who will attend classes every Saturday.


One to One Meeting

The president of our university, Mr. Ashok Panjwani met one-to-one with B.E. Chemical Engineering Semester-6 students on 5th and 6th march, 2024. The meeting aimed to inspire students to enhance their academic performance. They were motivated to engage in different activities, improve their skills and strive for success in upcoming university exams."
